Presented by Adidas and Eurosport, Carlsbad Lightning Soccer Club is proud to host the 7th Annual Carlsbad Cup, a Class I Competitive Soccer Tournament for ages U8 to U19. More than 285 teams attended last year’s event and we anticipate similar numbers again this year. All fields are located within 20 minutes of each other in the greater North County area and will include six sites with nine turf fields, more than any other local tournament. Again this year, the Carlsbad Cup will take place over one of two weekends in late July / early August, depending on your team’s age group for the upcoming Fall season ages: July 27-29 (U15–U19) & Aug 3-5 (U8–U14).
U8-U10 $595 | U11-U14 $650 | U15-U19 $675. There is a 5% processing service charge for credit card payment. All Teams will compete at the 2013/14 age group level and must also present laminated USYSA player cards for 2012/13 or 2013/14 season, proof of age, and signed medical release forms. The 2013 Carlsbad Cup is a ‘Stay & Play’ Tournament, which means that teams traveling into Carlsbad and North County San Diego are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the Tournament as a condition of participation. All teams requiring overnight accommodations MUST secure them through our hotel partners. Teams MUST reserve a minimum of 8 rooms to qualify and participate in the Carlsbad Cup. Failure to do so may result in the team not getting scheduled.
No Friday night check-in. We’re continuing with our Saturday morning check-in to alleviate your managers having to make an extra trip in heavy Friday commuter traffic. Teams will only be required to check-in 60 minutes prior to their first game on Saturday. Again, with the challenge of Friday night summer traffic and the knowledge that everyone’s time is valuable, we feel this will be yet another reason to make the Carlsbad Cup one of your team’s choices for your 2013 tournament schedule.
Summer Nights Boys College Showcase is a division of the Carlsbad Cup, focusing on the College bound players. We will have teams participating from the WCDA League as well as the prestigious Coast Soccer League. If you feel your team is of the appropriate level please register via this link. You will be notified in due course in relation to your acceptance status.
