Welcome to Official 2015 Carlsbad Cup Website

Presented by Adidas, and set in the beautiful coastal town of Carlsbad, Carlsbad United F.C. is proud to host the 9th Annual Carlsbad Cup, a tournament renowned throughout Southern California for its high level of competition, superb facilities, and spectacular scenery. The Carlsbad Cup is split into the ‘Carlsbad Cup College Showcase‘, a multi-level College Showcase open to all U15-U19 teams, taking place on the weekend of July 25-27, and the ‘Carlsbad Cup Premier Tournament‘, a top level, Class I tournament for U8-U14, taking place on the weekend of August 1-3.

The Carlsbad Cup College Showcase is an exciting opportunity for U15-U19 high level boys & girls teams to participate in a College Showcase and highlight their talent in front of top College Coaches from across the nation. With over 600 College Coaches in San Diego that particular weekend, the potential for player-coach connection is at its maximum. The winners of respective U16-U18 showcase events will earn automatic acceptance into the 2015 November Nights College Showcase.

The Carlsbad Cup Premier Tournament is a high level, Class I tournament aimed at the competitive U8-U14 boys & girls teams who compete at the higher level(s) of youth soccer. All fields are located within 20 minutes of each other in the greater North County area and will include six sites with nine turf fields, more than any other San Diego tournament. Click here to register to play.

U8-U10 $625 | U11-U14 $700 | U15-U19 Showcase $725. There is a 5% processing service charge for credit card payment. All Teams will compete at the 2015/16 age group level and must also present laminated USYSA player cards for 2014/15 or 2015/16 season, proof of age, and signed medical release forms.

The 2015 Carlsbad Cup is a ‘Stay & Play’ Tournament, which means that teams traveling from a distance of 80 miles or more into Carlsbad and North County San Diego are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the Tournament as a condition of participation. All teams requiring overnight accommodations MUST secure them through our hotel partners. Teams MUST reserve a minimum of 8 rooms to qualify and participate in the Carlsbad Cup. Failure to do so may result in the team not getting scheduled.

No Friday night check-in. We’re continuing with our Saturday morning check-in to alleviate your managers having to make an extra trip in heavy Friday commuter traffic. Teams will only be required to check-in 60 minutes prior to their first game on Saturday. Again, with the challenge of Friday night summer traffic and the knowledge that everyone’s time is valuable, we feel this will be yet another reason to make the Carlsbad Cup one of your team’s choices for your 2015 tournament schedule.

We are strongly encouraging all coaches, team managers, parents, and players to tag uploaded social media content (pictures & video) taken at the 2015 Carlsbad Cup using the hashtag #CarlsbadCup

We are also encouraging all coaches, team managers, parents, and players to email media content (pictures & video) of their experience at the Carlsbad Cup to: media@carlsbadunitedfc.com and they will be put straight up on our Carlsbad Cup Facebook Page. The content can be anything from game action shots to a team enjoying some beach time. We don’t mind the content, get creative!
